Carmen Miranda is one of the most well-known representations of Brazilianness, having achieved international fame and projection throughout a career that began in the 1930s. Icon of the tropical universe, she was notable for her extravagant costumes and choreography.
The Carmen line, in the versions with and without armrests, stool and armchair, has as main feature the molded plywood shell with a “thin waist” - expressive curves at the base of the back that allude to the artist's sensuality.
